The Center’s Target State Over the Next Five Years
“The Center will serve as the national authority on risk management and process safety in the oil industry, operating in alignment with international standards. It will hold a leading national position in developing guidelines, monitoring safety performance, delivering specialized training, analyzing data, and implementing preventive projects. The Center will also serve as the Ministry of Petroleum’s official authority for informed decision-making, technical consultation, and process incident management.”
In line with this vision, over the next five years, the Center will become:
Specialized PSM Authority for Holding Companies
National Process Incident Data Center for the Oil Industry
Center for Recruiting and Training Professional Specialists and Auditors
Development of National PSM Standards in Iran
Establishment of Operational Pilot Facilities and Reference Laboratories
Collaboration with CCPS, IChemE, and International Process Safety Centers
